New BBC3 Dance competition - applications open - 2009
New BBC Three show: ‘Move like Michael Jackson’
The show is a dance competition, in which amateurs have as much chance as professionals, and where a line dance could beat a breakdance, and where someone who may have only ever danced at weddings could perform in front of a celebrity panel and win a money-can’t-buy prize. One of the judges will be Jermaine Jackson.
The title of the show is Move Like Michael and the only requirement is that your dance is in some way influenced or inspired by Michael Jackson, other than that, anything goes! Belly dancers, salsa dancers, ballroom dancers, all are welcome, and the producers are looking for a real cross-section of the UK population in terms of age, profession and ability.
Anyone over 16 can apply and auditions will be held around the country in October. Call the organizers on 0207 428 4632, email dance@fevermedia.co.uk or check the BBC site on:
