A Night in Tunisia – a belly dance event in Cardiff, Wales, UK
On 11th December DJ Andy Roberts presents a night of Belly dancing and Middle Eastern music.
The event will take place in Café Jazz, St Mary’s Street, Cardiff, starting at 9pm.
It will consist of a series of belly dance performances, including a performance from Valeria Lo Iacono, who will dance to an Egyptian pop song. The performances will be followed by live Middle Eastern music, played by Chas Whitaker (Arabic drums and percussions) and Maren Lueg (Flute, Saxophone, Ney, Zurna and Turkish Clarinet).
Entrance is £5.00 per person.

Belly dance hafla in Bristol on 11th October 2008
Belly dancer Sacha presents a belly dance hafla in Bristol, for Sacha’s 30th and Weronika’s 21st Birthday. The hafla includes a taster workshop with Nina. The belly dance hafla will take place on Saturday 11th October at the Cross Hands Pub, Fishponds (upstairs room).

Belly dance charity event in Cardiff on Sunday 21st September
For the first time in Cardiff Baghdad by the Bay. This belly dance show is being held
in aid of 
Women's Refuge Wales with all proceeds going to the charity.
It will take place on Sunday 21st September at the 10 Feet Tall Bar, Church Street , Cardiff . Doors open 8.30pm and entry is £5.
The show will feature a stellar cast of professional belly dancers and the show's theme is early 20th century belly dance (thinking of Mata Hari and silent movie femme fatales). There is also going to be a guest performance by all male dance group community Kurdish.

Belly Dance workshop with Shafeek in Durham on Saturday 9th August 2008
On Saturday 9th August, male bellydancer Shafeek will hold a belly dance workshop in Durham , as part of an event that also includes salsa dance and tango workshops. Shafeek, originally from Egypt but living in London , is a fine teacher and belly dancer. If you went to the International Belly Dance Congress, in Bognor Regis, September 2007, you may have attended one of his workshops. Belly Dance Festival in Palermo, Sicily (Italy) from 24th until 30th August 2008
From 24th until 30th August, a six days long Belly Dance Festival will take place in Palermo, on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sicily.

New belly dance work shops announced for August 2008 in Bristol, England
The workshop is organised by Siobhan of TribeOfDoris.co.uk and the information is below:
- Location is the Devon/Somerset borders
- Taking place on the 20th August through to the 25th 2008 .
- The costs will be £220 and this will include the workshops, the camping, use of the saunas and showers.
- There will be belly dance beginners derbouka with Chas Whitaker, Middle-Eastern maqams and intermediate/advanced Derbouka with Louai Alhenawi amongst other events.
