Dancing to the Rhythms of the Tabla
11:00am to 14:00pm £30.
An introductory workshop demonstrating the various Rhythms within Egyptian Dance.Come and understand these dance Rhythms in depth and learn which steps are suited best with which rhythm. This class will be taught by Hossam with demonstrations by Serena and a choreography will be created during the class by all to apply these powerful and dynamic rhythms. This is a workshop for all levels.
Fast-paced and challenging but even complete beginners surprise themselves with what they find themselves capable of achieving.
Classical Fusion within the Egyptian Dace
15:00pm to 18:00pm £30.
This is a workshop in fusion within the classical Egyptian dance and how the music from the Golden Era that gave us star dancers such as Naima Akef & Samya Gamal. Two of Egypt’s greatest dancers. All this will be presented in a choreography by Serena to “Saharet Ghawazy” from the bestselling album“Flamenco Arabe II” by Hossam & Jose Luis Monton Spain’s leading Flamenco.
Guitarist. Drawing influences on the dance techniques of Naima & Samya, the Queens of the Golden Era, you will be learning new steps, various transitions and styles of performance that are dynamic and inspirational.

10 minutes walk from Portslade Rail Station. Follow Station Road towards the sea, North Street is the last turning on the right, the studio is then 200 mtrs on the left hand side.
