Raqs Britannia 2009 – Bellydance Superstars in the UK
Raqs Britannia is back in Blackpool, UK. It is going to be held in the Winter Gardens, starting on Friday 5th June until Sunday 7th June 2009.
I attended Raqsbritannia in 2008 and I really enjoyed the event, which was packed with workshops run by internationally famous belly dancers and great shows. I was also really impressed with the venue, which is huge, and with the overall organisation.
During Raqs Britannia last year, the classes I attended included workshops with Suhaila Salimpour and Morocco. Read more about my experience at 2008 Raqs Britannia.
Raqs Britannia also includes a suk, an open stage and auditions to either become part of the Belly Dance Superstars troupe or to just dance with them for one night.
