Middle Eastern music and dance festival in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Date: Saturday 14th November 2009.

Time: Noon to 9pm.

Venue: The Alwun House, 1204 E. Roosevelt St. Phoenix.

Organised by: Levant al Sonora, Arizona's MECDA chapter.

This Middle Eastern music festival is being organised in occasion of the 3rd anniversary celebration. At the Fall Festival of Music and Dance there will be a main stage with uninterrupted performances from 12:30 to 21.00. Performers are dancers and musicians from Arizona and beyond. There will also be a "Sultan's Garden", where you will be able to listen to live acoustic music while enjoying some Arabic style drinks and refreshments, enjoy Middle Eastern food, smoke a hookah or get henna body art. People attending the festival can also shop for Middle Eastern items in the Bazaar.

Last year's Fall Festival of Music and dance featured over 120 performers, including five live bands. There will be a number of well known dance from around the world. At the end of the festival you will be able to watch "The Bellydancer Project", a documentary of four Arizona dancers exploring dance and women's identity.
