Venue: Dancestudio Focus, Zuiderspoorstraat 77512 AX, Enschede, The Netherlands (Free parking and the location can easily be reached by public transportation from the Netherlands and from Germany).
Cost: 1 workshop 65 Euro, 2 workshops 110 Euro.
Types of belly dance taught: Turkish gypsy dance and Turkish folklore & Belly dance.
The maestro of the Turkish gypsy and Oriental dance, Ahmet Ogren, is coming to the Netherlands! Ahmet Ogren is a well known dancer from Istanbul. He will give two great workshops. On the 21st of November, he will give a workshop on the Turkish gypsy dance, also known as the Turkish Roman dance.
On the 22nd of November 2009, he will give a workshop on the Turkish Folklore & Belly dance. In the Turkish Roman dance workshop, Mr. Ogren will teach the variations in rhythm and movements of this wonderful dance. An important part is the typical 9/8 rhythm. In the Turkish folklore & Belly dance workshop, Mr. Ogren will teach the typical Turkish belly dance style, which is different for example from the Egyptian belly dance. These workshops are a must for anybody who wants to learn more about Oriental dances!
