2 Tribal belly dance workshop with Samantha Emanuel in Bristol – Oct 2009
Date: Saturday 3rd October.
Time: 11am ~ 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.
Cost: £25.00 per workshop.
Location: Willow Art's Studio, St. Werburgh Primary School, James Street, St. Werburgh's, Bristol BS2 9US.
Fabulous last minute opportunity to learn with the Stunning Samantha Emanuel (previously Hasthorpe).
There are 2 workshops on offer:
- Nourish your Roots - To have a healthy plant you need to encourage its growth at its roots. A drills class with focus on the upper body carriage so stylistic of Tribal Style Belly Dance. Honeclean articulation throughout the body whilst striving to project the strength and open frame characteristic of well executed Tribal Belly Dance. 11am ~ 1pm £25.
- Combinations for improvisation - "Jumping is to soaring as improvisation is to choreography" Lynne Anne Blom. Play with Tribal Style movements through practicing short combinations with varying tempos. Slow and strong,
fast and fluid. Including cues to signal the combination thus enabling the dancer to add it to an improvised group performance piece. Bring a yoga mat and drinking water. 2pm ~ 4pm £25.
