Saturday 21st March: A Classical Dance Workshop to Diamond in The Rough From Hossam’s latest album ‘RUBY - Diamond in The Rough’ has already captured the heart of dancers around the world. Come and learn this new expressive choreography by Serena to this captivating composition. A deeply emotional classical introduction followed by powerful, earthy rhythmic Baladi transitions. The music has many hidden qualities. This is why, in this workshop, Serena is presenting a new interpretation that compliments this composition perfectly. Sensitive and elegant, dynamic and emotional.
Sunday 21st March: A Dance workshop exploring the use of the sagat (finger cymbals / zills) in Egyptian Dance. This is the very first time when Hossam will be teaching you the use of the Sagat. An energetic and interactive class, trading percussive phrases between your own playing of the Sagat and the intricate rhythms in the drum solo ‘Serr Maktoub’, The Written Secret, from Hossam’s worldwide number one selling album ‘Sabla Tolo III’.This workshop will be given to an amazingly playful choreography by Serena to this drum solo that you will want to perform again and again. A unique workshop that you will certainly enjoy. Please, reserve your place very early as numbers are limited.
