Details: Rakkasah celebrates its 30th year of presentation of Middle Eastern dance and music. Two stages of continuous entertainment, a different dance company or soloist every 7 or every 15 minutes. Dancers and troupes come from all over the world to perform at this major (considered to be the largest) showcase festival. Nine different live music groups perform for dancers, and dancers may also chose to dance from recorded music. Hundreds of dancers perform extraordinary, traditional, classical, tribal, fusions, current, innovative and good old fashioned belly dance continuously for three days of Rakkasah Festival West. Further information: State of the art belly dancing is showcased for three days of continuous performances. Belly Dance Specialists and renowned performers are featured with Cabaret, Tribal North African, "Rio Raqs", Beledy, Suhaila Format, Jamila Format Combinations and more. You can see pantomime horses and other Egyptian entertainments as well as local and international troupes, students and teachers in performance. Each year it offers new excitements. The public is invited, as well as all dance enthusiasts who wish to have a very rich dance experience. Week Long workshops by extraordinary teachers are also available the week prior to the Festival.
