Date: from 8th March to 12th March 2010.

Time: From Monday 8th March through to Thursday 11th from 9.am to 10pm - On Friday 12th classes end at 4:30. Two classes scheduled on 7th March featuring Suhaila Salimpur and Leila Haddad. Morning classes March 13th and 14th end at 10:30am and are followed by the Rakkasah West Dance Festival at the Richmond Auditorium.

Details: Each or the nineteen teachers offers his or her own specialty. Choices for classes are made from hourly, day or weeklong classes, which include: Clubs of Cairo, Veil, Saber, Fuse your Fusion, Classical to Contemporary Expressions, Heart-tech-spirit & art, Bewitching Blade, Oriental-Rock'N Roll, East Coast Tribal, "Rio-Raqs" Brazilian Fusion, Beledy Art, Old-Fashioned + Dramatic Essentials, Air Sculpture –single / double veils, "Captivate & Enthrall, combos, Funky Fusion, Jamila Format combinations, Twice the Spice, from Tribal to Egyptian, Artful Isolations, Doumbek, Riqq and Bandir (all levels), "BellyDance Afro-Mosaic”, Melay, Arabic Soul, Techniques for Dummers and more. Prices for each class or package vary.

Further information: Each featured instructor is selected for the highest skills, achivements, noted performances, knowledge and dedication to his or her form of teaching. Most are very well known and welcome the opportunity to be of help to the dance community and dancers of all levels who may benefit or enjoy adding a new or reviewed dance experience to their art and performance. Rakkasah has offered week long workshops for many years and is noted for offering an expansive workshop experience for all who participate. Many dancers return each year to discover and re-discover, enhance knowledge and expand to innovations and current changes in the dance, music, costuming and approaches to great performance. Aneena - Veil moves without spinning. Shukriya - Smooth & Sassy Saber. Natica - Fuse your Fusion, Classical to Contemporary Expressions. Jamilla Al Wahid - Raks Reloaded! Modern Egyptian and Drum Solo Combinations. Ariellah, Michelle De Vine, Naheda, Dondi Dahlin, Titania Monique, Saqura, Fahtiem, Jamila Salimpour, Sera Solstice, Vince Delgado, Arianna Al Tiye, Reda Darwish. Dancers are invited to choose from any of the classes offered at this intensive week long dance workshops, designed to give variety and exciting choices for an extensive and enjoyable dance experience.
