Details: This is the second edition of the Belly Dance Nationals Competition on the East Coast of the USA, in Maryland. This event, which lasts three days, is organised by Lotus Niraja and the NDC. The competition includes ten different categories aimed at various styles, such as tribal, Bollywood, fusion, dancing with props and more. The judges include world famous belly dancers. For example, last year’s panel included dancers such as Ava Fleming, Ahava and Nadirah Nasreen among the others. During the weekend, it will also be possible to attend various belly dance workshops and a gala show. Workshops include:
- Confidence in Chaos with Ahava.
- The Nitty Gritty with Ava Fleming.
- Flawless Competition Makeup and Hair with Azhia.
- Balance and spinning technique with Grace.
- Dynamic Troupe performance with Lotus Niraja.
- An Insider’s Guide to Bellydance competitions with Oreet.
