Other additional Information: Egyptian and North African. Maria has been dancing for 18 years and teaching on a regular basis for over 10 years, after attaining a teaching qualification. She trained regularly with Wendy Buonaventura and Jacqui Jamal, both instilled a strong foundation and discipline. She has trained with Amel Tafsout and attended workshops with other teachers including Maria D`Silva, and Hossam and Serena Ramzy. Her other teachers have been the Arab people. Maria has lived with Arab people in an Arab country and believes understanding the dance in a cultural context is important. Arab women of all ages, shapes and sizes dance, comfortable in their bodies; and so should we!
