Other additional information: I have been teaching and performing for more than 20 years in the UK and abroad. I have also directed numerous theatre shows and choreographed pieces for performance groups in Britain, Switzerland and Germany. My classes give a solid grounding in technique as well as in how to express the complexities of the various styles of Egyptian music.
Students are encouraged to develop their creativity in a supportive environment. Working with live music is an important part in understanding the soul of Egyptian dance and music. Regular dance workshops accompanied by leading Arab musicians are truly inspiring experiences for dancers of all levels.
