Khera of Empress Bellydance is a Central London based bellydancer who came to the dance via an evening class run at a local college. Since these humble beginnings, she has gone on to train with a number of renowned teachers including Josephine Wise, the UK's Grande Dame of Bellydance. Khera danced Tap, ballet and modern as a child and later explored a number of Diaspora dances, including Afro-Beat dance from Lagos, Nigeria. She is currently studying Afro-Cuban dance and Dancehall/Bashment alongside her continued love of Egyptian dance.
Khera of Empress Bellydance currently teaches in London, UK with regular classes across the capital. She brings a light, approachable, joyous and supportive energy to her classes, which are attended by women of all ages, sizes and abilities who come together each week to let loose and be guided towards the wisdom their bodies have forgotten.
