Other additional information: My classes are based on Tamalyn Dallal's teaching methods and class outline, as well as, from my own 30+ years of dance education and experience.
Interesting information: Students will gain a knowledge of the "basic belly dance moves" during the 8-week session and then begin "layering techniques" as they progress in my classes. Eventually students will learn combinations and choreographies, which they may perform at various performance opportunities provided to my students. Performing is not mandatory, but for those who are interested, opportunities are available. My belly dance classes are a fun way to learn this beautiful art form, meet new girls and women who share this passion for belly dance, find a fun way to exercise without it feeling like exercise.
Each class offers something new and exciting. Students will work with finger cymbals and silk veils and be adorned in coin hip scarves, which I find to be a very useful tool in learning specific techniques in belly dance.
