Details: A very well established oriental dance event in the UK, this is a weeklong belly dance retreat in an ancient manor house in the British countryside. You will be able to choose among a wide variety of workshops and activities in different belly dance styles and subjects. Some of the best bellydance teachers in the UK run the classes. The retreat includes classes with Egyptian musicians and classes on technique, choreography and rhythm. If you are too tired to dance, you will be able to attend talks, watch videos or shop in the bazaar. Accommodation can be included in the package.

Further information: This summer school for belly dancers is run by JWAAD, Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance. Josephine Wise has been involved in the belly dance scene in the UK for over 20 years, she runs great classes in London and has organised various successful events in the UK, including the International Belly Dance Congress in 2007 and 2009.
